Apartment Advisors was created from a vision that began when I first started in real estate almost 10 years ago.
I noticed there wasn’t a company that focused exclusively on apartments. There were residential brokerage firms and Realtors who specialized on specific neighborhoods or property sub-types (i.e. luxury homes or condos) and there were commercial brokerage firms which had teams of people dedicated to all property types (Office, Retail, Industrial, Hotel) except for apartments.
What perplexed me even more was the fact that no industry group or even media outlet consistently reported on or took an interest in the apartments. We are inundated with local news and articles about the residential and commercial housing market but no one reports on apartments. No one provides apartment owners with the data, research, and trends, they need in order to make informed decisions about their properties.
The apartment market may not be the largest investment market but it is extremely important. There are over 3,000 apartment properties in Hawaii and total sales volume over the past 10 years alone have topped over $1 Billion dollars. Apartments control tens of thousands of rental units for students, families, professionals, and retirees. It has effects on the housing market, construction industry, and financial markets. And it has never had a voice in the islands…until now.
Apartments have been my focus from the first day I began my real estate career. Yes, I have had the privilege of gaining a lot of experience in both residential and commercial real estate during my tenure but my heart and soul has always been for apartments.
From the first day I started real estate, I’ve learned everything I could about apartments from brokerage to financing to management to construction and I’ve actively tracked sales and trends of apartments since the early 1990’s. And now I bring everything I’ve learned back to the owners and investors of apartments with the goal and intent of being the best and most reliable real estate firm dedicated exclusively to Hawaii apartments.
